great picture... it's a shame so much in Budapest is just crumbling away... this old depot would make a great railway museum, wouldn't it?

yes it true. the city, and actually the whole country is full with unused, but very nice, important places, buildings... and I think it is generally true for the whole Eastern European area. many things just left behind, not used any more, even if it is represents a great value from the past 100 years...
these trains actually owned by the Hungarian Museum of Transportation. most of them has a sign, which tells that these are important, protected national monuments ([link]). however the musem has no money/support/place to take care of them.
